Professor Farhadi studied medicine at the University of Basel and at the University Pitié-Salpetrière in Paris before graduating from the Medical School of the University of Basel in Switzerland.
He went on to complete his specialist surgical training in Plastic Surgery in 2005, having studied in Basel, Bern and Yale University. Prior to start his training in Plastic Surgery he had an extensive training in General Surgery including Transplant Surgery.
This was followed by a Fellowship in microsurgical reconstruction at St.Thomas’ Hospital, where he was later appointed as a consultant and Director of the Department.
Professor Farhadi developed the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at St Thomas Hospital to a world renowned unit with 23 Consultant plastic surgeons.
